Works in tandem with the Income Tax team and management to meet the demands of the Direct Tax Function for multiple entities with emphasis on efficiency and process improvements.
- Gathers and manipulates data from various sources to calculate book-tax adjustments, state apportionment, and fixed asset roll forward.
- Prepares and files federal and state/local income tax returns as assigned using ONESOURCE software
- Calculates and manages tax payments (quarterly estimates and extensions)
- Completes research and communicates tax recommendations for specific tax scenarios as they arise.
- Responds to notices made by federal and state tax authorities with respect to returns filed and tax paid.
- Communicates issues in the process and works to proactively escalate and resolve them
- Keeps abreast of new legislative and other developments in the pass-through income tax area.

Responsibilities:
- Spearhead analysis, design and definition, testing, and implementation of software solutions and software enhancements, with emphasis around lease accounting software and related integrations.
- Leverage software functionalities to address specific leasing industry challenges and enhance overall business and system performance.
- Coordinate regular system updates and maintenance tasks, and perform or assist users to perform testing, to ensure software is operating at optimum and expected performance levels.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to align software solutions with leasing business needs.
- Lead training sessions focused on maximizing user proficiency with applications in the leasing business setting.
- Work as liaison between Vendors, project management teams, development teams, and business users to accomplish aforementioned responsibilities.
- Identify, report, and resolve system and business process defects through ticketing systems, in collaboration with business teams, IT infrastructure, and external vendors, having clear and effective communication throughout the issue resolution cycle.
- Collaborate with interested parties, stakeholders, business teams, vendors, and other IT team members to document business needs, objectives, operations procedures, issues, resolutions, and other related systems requirements. This may include the use of activity diagrams, flowcharts, reporting tools, confluence pages, ticketing system updates, and other forms of documentation.
- Assist with data analysis by querying data sources (databases, file extracts, etc.) and translating ad-hoc business report requests to identify underlying data and functional requirements.
- Complete various projects and or conduct research on HR topics as assigned.
- Manage incoming HR mail and work with HR team to ensure appropriate action is taken.
- Coordinates with Accounting, Payroll and IT to ensure vendor invoicing, and payroll updates are processed accordingly
- Perform routine filing, scanning, and archiving of records to ensure record retention compliance
- Assist with Benefits enrollment of employees when eligible and cessation of benefits on termination of employment.

- Drive automation & streamlining of existing accounting procedures with the goal of implementing “best practices”.
- Provide stewardship over Sales Commissions data. Calculate and monitor sales performance including the measurement and payments related to individual sales goals/quotas/objectives.
