Job Summary

As a Business Development Executive at Insight Financial Services, you will be responsible for generating new business leads with enterprise companies who require technology (IT) leasing or financing to support sourcing.

At Insight Financial Services, we provide Business Development Executives with extensive training designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in a sales environment. A self-starter attitude, strong phone skills, and comfort with outbound cold calling are essential to success in this role.

 

Business Development Executives are based in our Irvine, CA corporate office. Travel is minimal and weekend work non-existent. Business Development Executives earn a base salary along with performance-based incentives. The Business Development Executive role is designed to provide the platform for promotion into an Account Executive position at Insight Financial Services.

 

Key Responsibilities

Generate New Business Leads: Proactively identify, qualify, and engage enterprise accounts to schedule discovery meetings, capabilities presentations, and/or identify requirements.

 

Outbound Prospecting & Cold-Calling: Identify and Initiate contact with key decision-makers, effectively communicate IFS’s value, and schedule discovery meetings. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-energy, outbound sales environment. During the first year, the primary focus will be heavy on cold calling and prospect outreach, with a daily outbound activity focus. You will be expected and must be comfortable spending much of your time on the phone, reaching out to new prospects, initiating conversations, and building a pipeline from scratch. Success in this position requires persistence, resilience, and a strong drive to connect with potential clients through consistent outreach.

 

Market Research: Use internet resources, IFS subscription services, IFS marketing toolbox, and company websites to identify and develop marketing leads.

 

Consultative Selling: Assess client needs, align leasing solutions with strategic objectives, and introduce customized finance solutions.

 

Navigate Complex Sales Cycles: Manage multi-stakeholder relationships, including C-suite executives, IT teams, finance teams, and procurement departments.

 

Prospect Relationship Management: Cultivate trust and rapport with prospective accounts to drive revenue growth and maximize client satisfaction.

 

Pipeline & Forecast Management: Maintain accurate sales pipeline data, track KPI, and ensure timely follow-up to meet or exceed targets.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams including sales management, credit, syndication, and operations—to facilitate smooth onboarding and long-term client success.

 

Continuous Improvement: Stay informed on market trends, competitor offerings, and evolving customer requirements to refine sales strategies.

Qualifications / Education

Education and Geography: Must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and must be within commutable distance of our Irvine, CA headquarters (in-office work).

 

Self-Starter Mindset: Demonstrates initiative and independence in prospecting and lead generation.

 

Track Record of Success: History of meeting or exceeding academic, athletic, and/or professional goals and a results-driven attitude.

 

Analytical & Organized: Ability to maintain sales activities in a CRM. Thrives in a ‘numbers’ environment with moderate proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Outlook.

Initial Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: $65,000
  • First Year OTE: $65,000 to $85,000
