  • Responsibilities

    • At the direction of the Marketing & Sales Director, assist with or execute the following:
    • Answer incoming customer inquiries
    • Recruit and ensure attendance for key marketing and sales related events (phone/email)
    • Execute outbound lead generation campaigns (phone/email)
    • Execute follow up conversations with customers as the results of lead generation and/ or event attendance (phone/email)
    • Schedule initial meetings and calls for account executives into prospects (phone/email)
    • Research prospects to aid sales teams in creating sales strategies for new and existing accounts
    • Develop cross-selling and up-selling techniques to aid in positioning multiple product lines to customers
    • Assist in the qualification of customers to the point of registering opportunities with vendors/suppliers Provide other assistance, as needed, in supporting Account Executives as directed by the Sales Manager
    • Maintain customer and prospect information in corporate systems (Salesforce.com)
    • Track activity and other items as directed by management

    Qualifications / Education

    • Previous experience in customer support, inside sales or telemarketing is highly desirable
    • Two to four years sales experience in some form of technology is required (software or data center infrastructure experience is a plus)
    • Excellent telephone and writing/email skills
    • Must be Internet savvy and comfortable using the web as search and research tool
    • Proven proficiency using Windows, Work, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
    • Experience with Salesforce.com is desirable
    • Must have core computer (Microsoft Office applications) and research skills
    • Four year college degree is preferred

    Skills

    • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work with minimal supervision
    • Work with a team to grow the overall success of the sales region
    • Work with multiple individuals and manage time allocation to each individual to meet goals establish by management
    • Aptitude to understand and learn technology products and concepts is a must
