  • Responsibilities

    • Oversee the logistical operations of the facility and manage the processes and flow of the following departments: Receiving, Laptop/PC Audit, and Inventory Control
    • Responsible for Operations objectives and goals by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards; resolving problems; completing audits and identifying trends
    • Communicate with all levels of management and sales team as necessary to determine problem areas and repairs needed
    • Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; developing, implementing, enforcing, and evaluating policies and procedures; developing processes for receiving product, auditing product and inventory management
    • Review all open orders daily to ensure orders flow through proper warehouse protocols in a timely manner
    • Provide support and feedback to both Sales Associates and Purchasing Department as it relates to equipment, parts and supply needs of the warehouse
    • Assure that FIFO is being utilized by identifying and rotating inventory so aging inventory is depleted first
    • Provide effective leadership through goal setting, delegation and communication Responsible for all employee related appraisals, reviews, developments and disciplinary actions
    • Attend all 2NDGEAR Alignment Meetings as a representative of Warehouse Management
    • Maintain inventory min/max of all components and sub-assemblies for all orders
    • Manage responsible employees vacation time ensuring employees take vacations outside of peak seasons
    • Other various duties/assignments as assigned by the Direction of Operations


    Qualifications / Education

    • 1 to 3 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training
    • Background in auditing and inventory control is highly desired
    • Basic understanding of Accounting, Receiving and Purchasing required
    • Moderate proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point
    • Proficiency in MS Great Plains is a plus
    • A minimum of high school graduate or equivalent required
    • Some college courses or technical courses desired


    • Must be highly motivated individual with high level of initiative and an attitude of willingness
    • Must be team player willing to assist others at all levels of the organization
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills; and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to provide superior customer service and maintain cooperative working relationships
    • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and work autonomously or with a team
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Ability to communicate effectively on a one-on-one basis or in group setting
    • Ability to exercise strict confidentiality
