Responsibilities

  • Product merchandising of 2NDGEAR equipment on various auction sites such as eBay, Yahoo, Amazon etc.
  • Product merchandising consisting of technical writing and editing clear, concise product descriptions, terms of equipment warranty and terms of sale and digital photography
  • Monitor and respond to questions from shoppers and bidders
  • Product research via the web and OEM documentation
  • Ensure payment information is forwarded to Sales Support Team and enter order in 2NDGEAR Quote system
  • Ensure timely shipping of all merchandise working with the Operations team
  • Manage and respond to questions and service requirements for customers using the 2NDGEAR RMA system
  • Constant improvement of the auction process through merchandising, listing, support, and fulfillment
  • Working with 2NDGEAR Marketing to broadcast emails to customers and prospects of Special Offerings
  • Product research via the web
  • Managing and continuously improving the work flow process from listing of equipment to end of auction to shipment of merchandise
  • Develop leads from various shoppers to 2NDGEAR reps to develop deeper business relationships
  • Reporting and data analysis
  • Manage isolated ecommerce merchandise for timely turnaround
  • Run sales and inventory reports from 2NDGEAR accounting system
  • Perform other various tasks as assigned by department manager

 

Qualifications / Education

  • 2+ years of similar experience in a high tech environment preferred
  • Knowledge of computer/hi-tech equipment is preferred
  • Retail experience with brand name consumer products (electronics, power tools, DJ equipment, coffee and/or espresso machines) preferred
  • Familiarity with the eBay user experience (as either a buyer or seller) preferred
  • E-commerce and HTML experience preferred
  • Moderate proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com or other CRM system would be preferred
  • Background in retailing
  • Have positive attitude and aptitude
  • Have impeccable grammar and spelling
  • Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree
